Robert is a 30-year veteran of Silicon Valley and successful venture capital investor. Over his career he has invested and participated in creating, what is today, over $400 billion in market capitalization in over 45 venture deals—of which 14 had IPOs (2 in 2H2020), 10 were acquired and over 15 are in process. Deals have included Nvidia (NVDA), Pharmacyclies (PCYC), Sequana Therapeutics (SGNA), CombiChem (CCHM), Hyliion (HYLN), Palantir (PLTR).

Today, he primarily acts as an angel investor in technology and life science seed round startups. He was a Co-Founder and Managing Director of the daVinci Capital Group, a venture capital/private equity firm and Co-Founded and Managing Director of Rocket Ventures, an early-stage venture firm. Served as CEO of two successful startups, General Partner at Comdisco Ventures, and Senior Associate at Canaan Partners – the later both being venture capital firms. And prior held several senior management roles including at Hewlett-Packard, Informatic General and IBM.

Currently occupies board positions with several startups and non-profit organizations. Holds a BSEE, Rice University and an MBA, Harvard University.
